Erica Sigurdson

Beloved comedian Erica Sigurdson has charmed and joked her way into the top of the Canadian comedy world. In addition to being twice nominated for a Canadian Comedy award, Erica has written for numerous television and radio shows, including The 21st Annual Gemini Awards, for which she won a Leo Award for Best Comedy Screenwriting.  She regularly contributes, both in writing and performing, for CBC Radio's The Debaters, The Current, and Definitely Not The Opera. Fun, quirky and right-on-point, Erica shows us how to see - and embrace - the humour in everyday life.

Her comedy travels have taken her to every corner of Canada, including the most northern point on earth - Alert, Nunavut. In addition to having performed at every major comedy festival in Canada, Erica was part of a select group of comedians chosen by CBC to travel to Afghanistan to shoot the television special, Stand Up In Kandahar.

In 2009, CityTV Vancouver launched an innovative news program called The CityNews List, which starred four of Vancouver's top comedians - Erica being one of them. The unscripted format of The List, produced five days a week, was a perfect showcase for Erica's talent in taking real life and finding the funny within it.
