In Larry's own words:

"After a successful Canadian Football League career, I entered the corporate world where I worked in Senior Management for John Labatt Ltd., at Catelli and Ogilvie Mills.

1n 1992, I returned to the CFL, this time as Commissioner. During a period of rapid expansion, we placed new teams in new cities, negotiated profitable TV contracts and put a streamlined cost structure into place. Today the CFL is stable with solid sponsors - and there's no doubt about a league that was once full of uncertainty.

Next it was on to the Montreal Alouettes and the development of a 3 year business plan. During this time, we moved the "Als" back into Molson Stadium - where the team has sold out season after season - and organized a wildly-successful Grey Cup weekend. Today the team is the CFL's model franchise and responsible for reviving football fever across the province.

After that, during a period of 2 years as Publisher of the (Montreal) Gazette, my team opened up the newspaper to reflect Montreal's diverse culture and today, people from all different walks of life feel more comfortable inside its pages. Also of note was our move to a new printing facility, our seamless office change from Old Montreal to the heart of downtown and a radical newspaper design.

As you can see, change has been good to me. And managing it, even better. And that's what I base my workshops on: helping you bring out the best in your people within an ever-evolving environment."

"So I bet you're wondering what a bike and your employees have in common. Well, think about a bike having 2 wheels, one that steers and one that powers. What happens if they're not working together? Simple. The bike won't move. Same goes for your employees. If they don't have a clear direction and the power to get there, they won't be going too far either. Of course, that's the simple explanation."
