Steve Patterson
CBC Radio One The Debaters, Comedian & Host
A mainstay on CBC and The Comedy Network, comedian Steve Patterson has been described as part Jon Stewart, part Robin Williams, with hints of Wayne Brady and can adapt to any crowd he faces with an arsenal of wit, sarcasm and song. Always insistent on doing his homework for every crowd he faces, audiences of Patterson are treated to a one-of-a-kind performance and personal connection every single time.
Nominated for consecutive Canadian Comedy Awards as Canada's best male stand-up comic in 2007 and 2008, Steve Patterson is a uniquely qualified comedian.
There are very few comedians who can boast a University degree, a post-graduate diploma in Media Copywriting, international performing experience and national television specials taped each year since 2002. In fact, including Steve Patterson, there is only one.

"If I had known he was going to be that good,
I would have cancelled him." -Steve Martin,
July 17, 2010 - (Hosting "Just For Laughs" &
sharing the stage with Steve Patterson)
The host of CBC Radio One's hit show The Debaters with over 400,000 listeners weekly, Steve has been a full-time comedian since losing his full-time copywriting job for making an ad about an amusement park “too amusing” in 1996.
His performance stops have included every province and major city in Canada (and most of the minor ones). He has also performed throughout Ireland, The United Kingdom and The United States with bookings as far off as Dubai and Australia In addition to solo club and theatre performances, Steve has shared the stage with top comedians from around the world at the Just For Laughs, Halifax, Winnipeg and Cracker (Sydney, AUS) Festivals. His published humour articles have appeared in The Toronto Star, The Montreal Gazette and The Irish Independent among many others. He has also written ad copy for Molson, Labatt and the Diageo Group including Smithwick's Beer and Smirnoff Vodka (when it comes to alcohol product knowledge he is a relentless researcher).
Most importantly for prospective clients, Steve is among the elite of corporate comedians in North America. He has appeared as Master of Ceremonies, after-dinner keynote speaker or simply as his comedic self on over 500 occasions including the award-winning "Investor’s Group Comedy Tour" where he has now performed in over 40 theatres throughout Canada.
His dedication to customized writing and performance is unparalleled as is his willingness and ability to work with organizers and incorporate audiences into shows in a dignified rather than derogatory manner.
Simply put, Steve Patterson is at the very top of his game and his game is making your event the most memorable, successful and suitably hilarious that it can be.

I have never seen such preparedness in a stand-up comedian. You had quite obviously done your homework on the school and me ... you had everyone laughing from the word go and kept it up for the entire set.
