## Biography

Best known as the colourful and entertaining voice of the 2019 NBA Championship winning team, the Toronto Raptors, motivational, leadership and teamwork speaker Jack Armstrong has spent close to three decades covering basketball for TSN and NBA TV. Prior to this, he spent nine years as the head basketball coach at Niagara University, where he was named MAAC and New York State Division I Coach of the Year in the 1992–93 season.


Armstrong brings his energy, coaching philosophy, and kind heart to every stage, leaving audiences engaged, motivated, and inspired. At 26, Armstrong became the youngest basketball coach in NCAA Division I history.


Prior to joining Niagara University as head coach, he served four years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Fordham University in New York, where he also earned his BA in History and an MA in Public Communications.


Armstrong's broadcast work has earned him three Canadian Screen Awards for Best Sports Analyst in a Sports Program or Series, and in 2025 he was inducted into the Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame. His vast knowledge and passion are well known and respected throughout the basketball world, and he is credited with helping an entire nation fall in love with Canada's basketball team.


As TSN's Basketball Insider, Armstrong keeps fans in the loop on all things NBA and college hoops, joining Toronto Raptors play-by-play announcer Matt Devlin as a game analyst for all Raptors broadcasts on TSN. Throughout the NBA season, he is featured in regular segments on TSN's SportsCentre, writes a weekly NBA blog for TSN.ca, and is part of TSN's in-studio panel for the network's NCAA March Madness coverage.
